CLAY-TOPPED GLASS COSMETIC JAR

I love jewelry and created this art piece to hold earings. I chose to use a glass cosmetic jar and created a clay topper for it. There are so many beautiful cosmetic containers available so it follows that they make perfect storage containers for buttons, pins, small gems, earings, etc. What ideas do you have for utilizing these containers in our artwork? Would love to hear your suggestions. Hugs, Gayle

Hi Gayle,

I found a lovely little milk glass jar that I assume was once a cream or salve jar. It had been heaved up out of the ground this last winter and I discovered it a long the fence line in my neighborhood. Our little neighborhood use to be an old family homestead many moons ago.
What I want to ask you is how did you create the lid for your jar as I would like to make one for mine?
