A cloche filled with handmade treasures...which view is for you? The burgundy and pink glittered roses? The handmade bath oil with flower petals? It is in a decorative bottle that I have embellished and labelled. The little gold foiled candle? the glittered burgundy ornament set on a gold glittered napkin ring? Or the Matchbox art that is decorated with framed imagery and rhinestone gems? The burgundy glass votive holds the silver and pearl beads. The last image is a view from the top. Enjoy. Hugs, Gayle

A BOOK OF L O V E
PLEASE CLICK ON IMAGE FOR LARGER VIEW
I love "Book Art". This type of art generally is quite time-consuming but very gratifying from a personal view. There are so many types of books and this is but one. I love these word books as it is a challenge to select and coordinate a large variety of papers in order to complete a book such as this. With 'word art" there is a lot of precision cutting and a lot of the fun is selecting images and various embellishments to use within the book itself. Book art is great to display as "table art" as well. You can create theme books very easily to satisfy your wish to enhance your style of home decor. Do you create books? What types of books do you enjoy creating? I would love to hear from you. I hope you enjoy this particular book of L O V E .

MEMORIES FROM THE PAST
Does this Copper Boiler bring back any memories from your past? I know both my grandmothers owned one; they were very common in days gone by when people were using them to boil water on their wood stoves. Water to be used in their "wringer washers", the old fashioned washing machines that had two rollers above the washing machine where you ran your clothes through to extract the water. Thank goodness we have travelled through time enough to be able to avoid that work-laden lifestyle.
My husband spotted this copper boiler online on a site devoted to selling items in our local area. He knew it would be something I would like as we both love antiques and spend our vacations going through antique shops. He promptly telephoned the couple that was selling this copper boiler and at 10 p.m. that same evening he proudly presented me with it. It was certainly not to use for laundry or for a mini bathtub to bathe the children in on a Saturday night. I had my own wish for it. I spent the next day happily filling it with white Peonies, Chrysanthemums, Asters and Lillies.

WHERE HAS THE YEAR GONE?
PLEASE CLICK ON EACH IMAGE TO ENLARGE AND VIEW THE FAN BLADES IN DETAIL.
It is amazing how fast the seasons pass. We are nearing our last season of the year and before that happens I thought I would share the calendar I created for our current year. It is something I designed and created by myself -- A Fan Calendar. You will see by the images I have posted that the first six months are on one side; turn it over and you have the other six months. It folds to take up less room. It was a fun calendar to make, lots of image cutting and loads of embellishments. I hope you like it and will enjoy seeing it. Hugs, Gayle.

NOTHING'S MORE SPECIAL THAN A BABY
I am a Mixed Media and Digital Artist and have created these art pieces and projects basically in pink. We have a new baby Granddaughter in our family; she is 5 months old. Unfortunately, I don't get to see her very often as they live in a different city. It doesn't stop me from thinking of her every day, so right now I am seeing things in pink.

BEESWAX COLLAGE ART ON CANVAS
I enjoy working with beeswax, both white and natural. It is almost addicting as the aroma of the hot wax permeates the air. Your own aromatherapy. I created this collage on canvas. Each piece of imagery is applied only with beeswax.

MEMORIES OF TEA TIME WITH MOM
This Sudlow's Burslem Lustre china teapot was made in England. It was one of my mother's teapots and she left it to me when she passed away in 1992. I know the teapot is over 50 years old. It has been serving tea in my mom's kitchen and mine for all those years. I created this tea cozy for it over 20 years ago...the fabric was also used for kitchen chair cushions that I created at that time. I no longer have that kitchen but I have the memories. I have added some tea tins that I have had for what seems forever....the tins have never been open.

AUTUMN WREATHS-A TASTEFUL TOUCH
I love wreaths and look forward to changing wreath with each holiday or season. Bringing out the old and adding new. The tray in one of the photos is one that my mother made for me a number of years before she passed away in 1992. We live in a hilltop area and the winds are extremely strong this time of year so I am unable to safely add many decorations on the exterior of our home...I doubt our neighbours would appreciate having their properties strewn with windswept decorations (smile) But, never fear, about 2 or 3 days before Halloween we all start to get the area ready for the children's special night on Hallow's Eve. I love seeing the transition and wish we could enjoy it longer. I envy all of you who live in better climate areas and I so love seeing all the beautiful decorations that you place on your porches or other areas outside your homes.
Hugs, Gayle (in Canada)

FADED CHARM - WHITE WEDNESDAY & POTPOURRI FRIDAY
Today's share is a centerpiece from my dining room table. Although barely visible, the wide pedestal-vase base is a brushed antique white with a Greek image motif. The flowers are a combination of white hydrangeas, white Lillies, as well as a variety of white roses. The greenery is interspersed with white pearls. I love this arrangement on a hand crocheted white lace table cloth on my dining room table.

SHARING PINK GIFT BOX ART PIECE
I have a passion for collecting boxes of all types including trinket boxes, hat boxes, cigar boxes, stacked boxes, etc. I also love to decorate some of them, as is the box I am sharing with you today. I selected a 7" square chipboard box, by 4.5 inches high. The box itself is covered with beautiful flowers in shades of pink. It is one of a set of 3 stacked boxes. I have embellished the box by creating a new top using Bazzill cardstock in two shades of pink. I selected another white cardstock in white and covered it with a delicately patterned Basic Grey paper in white and pink tones. Over a portion of this I have added a soft pink silk lace. I have created an image to tuck under a portion of this lace using an image of Lena Cavalieri cut into a scalloped shape with Nestabilities, and have selected another piece of Basic Grey patterned paper to die cut a frame for the Cavalieri image. Further embellishing includes a ribbon border for the base to which I have added a row of sequins. I have added pink pearls to the top corner; painted a chipboard flourish in gold to add along with a lovely pink fabric flower that has a white pearl center. To the outer edges of the box top I have added picot edged white satin ribbon topped with an organza ribbon that is patterned with pink and white polka dots. I use my box for storing silk flowers. What types of items would you chose to put in this type of box?

ASIAN BOOK ART
There is a special feeling I get when I have completed the creation of a handmade book. I chose to use pages with tabs to give the look of filing folders. I hope you will enjoy viewing the pages posted here. I would love to hear whether you have ever created a book. If you have, do you have a favorite?
